When..
Tuesday and Wednesday Nights from 7:30pm until approximately 9:30pm. There are 4 competitions held each year, 1 in each of the school terms.
Where.. Your matches will be at the Bulli Tennis Centre (or surrounding venues depending on entries).
Teams.. The teams are made up of either 3 or 4 players, with 3 of these required to play each week. These players can be either male or female. Each team should consist of extra players so that each player is not required to play each and every week and can take a night off when required.
Playing Standard..
Due to increasing popularity of this competition, Division 1 has been moved to Wednesday night. Existing Division 2 will remain on Tuesday night and a Division 3 may be added depending on entries.
Playing Format..
Each match will consist of 6 sets. Division 1 sets will consist of 8 games, whilst Division 2 sets will consist of 6 games. No tiebreakers. Each player will play 4 of these sets.
Scoring..
A team is awarded 1 competition point for each
set it wins. In addition, the team that wins the match at the end of the allocated sets receives an additional 2 points.
Trophies and Prizes are awarded at end of each competition. Competition ladder is displayed on this website and at participating tennis clubs.
What if I am not in a team?..
Most people playing in this competition don't enter as a team initially. By registering your interest through your local club (or through this web site), you will be placed in a team comparable to your ability.
How do I Join?.. Click HERE to get a list of clubs affiliated with B&DTA. Choose the club closest to you and ring the contact person and express your interest in joining the Tuesday/Wednesday Night Competition.
